China Glaze Nail Lacquer Review

If you read my last post, you will notice that today I accessorized with a super cute China Glaze polish in a lovely lilac colour.

I actually received this in a Joliebox a few months ago and never really tried it out until I found it again whilst packing for moving. The bottle looks kind of like an OPI polish, and just the RRP of £10.50 leads me to believe it must be pretty good quality.
Last night I decided to give it a try.

Its a sort of pastel, milky purple, which in my experience (Maxfactor yellow) usually needs a few coats to stop looking streaky. This went on first time beautifully even, streakless and lovely.
Not wanting to over-paint and cause chipping, I just added my topcoat and then left it. Beautiful!

But wait.

I got up at 7am and got ready. The polish remained intact. I got in my car and drove to work. I arrived at work at 7:50am. My index finger had started to chip.

Its now 12:40pm and every single nail has chipped, some lots, some hardly at all. This is a chippy polish!

Verdict: China Glaze – Thumbs DOWN.
To be quite honest, I’m disappointed. The colour is so lovely jubbly, with a lovely finish. For £10.50, though, I think it’s a bit of a sham. Luckily I only paid £12.95 for the box with this product and 5 others – most of which were pretty good. I’d rather spend my money on an OPI polish, though. Failsafe.
