I always read posts about blogger events and meet ups and wish I could have gone.
The events always sound awesome and the goody bags are to die for.
When I visited the Company Blogging Forum I came away with a flipping Filofax (which I use every day btw) and loads of other goodies.
Well, last night I visited the Midsummer Meet hosted by MyBag, AllSole and LookFantastic. It was hosted at the very cool Walrus lounge in the Norther Quarter in Manchester (Handy – 2mins from where I live!)
I got to meet loads of lovely bloggers & product representatives – a special shout out to Becki from SmockToFrock, Chelsea from Humble Honesty, Sarah from SequinThis and Lisa from DamnPrecious.
Brands at the event included Moroccan Oil, Benefit, Nails inc, Burt’s Bees, L’Oreal, Cambridge Satchel Co among others.
I have to admit, despite being a devoted Bene-Babe, my favourite stall was the Burt’s Bees one – the representative was lovely, and Burt’s story (which I hadn’t known before) is what I’m all about!
She also gave me some wildflower seeds to plant to help with their Wild For Bees campaign – more on that soon.
I also got to meet Benefit’s Social Media Manager who seriously has to watch her back cause I’m gunning for her job.
Or…I was gunning for her job until I met her and she was totes lovely and bubbly – now I just want her to stay in her job and be super successful and, like, rule the social beauty world.
When we arrived we were treated to a glass of wine, cupcakes and chatter from loads of lovely people representing their brands.
Loads of brands did demonstrations (I particularly liked the Evo one – and am now certain I will convert to their products) – and we got that all important goody bag.
Plus I won 2nd prize in the raffle!

That’ll be the Elizabeth Arden 8hour Lip Balm & the Moroccan Oil products and the Orly topcoat.
I used to dislike Nails Inc but this polish looks very nice, and I’m looking forward to trying it out tomorrow!
Plus, the Benefit Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow is such a lovely colour – mine is a kind of mild bronze which is actually incredibly lovely! I can’t wait to try out a smoky eye with it!
So, in all, I’m glad I went out on a school night!
Stay tuned – product reviews galore will be coming soon!
