That time has come again. I’m a few months away from the new Mitch Albom release, and just over a month away from our trip.
I try to read as often as possible anyway, but coming up to a trip I really pull out the stops and try to get into that power-reader mode I constantly had engaged as a kid.
Except now it’s not okay to read The Incredible Bed once a week.
Here is my September reading list. It’s kinda late to share the August one.
Yes I can shamefully admit that my love for Mindy Kaling ignited because of her role in The Office: An American Workplace, which is still in my top 5 US Comedies of all time – right below Curb Your Enthusiasm.
I don’t think that’s a big deal, she’s clearly hilarious.
I’ve been saving this specifically for my trip, so no gripes about why it’s taken me so long to read!
If you’re slower than me, get it here.
Roll Me Up and Smoke Me When I Die (Musings From The Road) | Willie Nelson.
Anyone who has spent enough time with me to hear my iPod will know that I really love Willie Nelson.
Don’t give me that rubbish about him sounding like Kermit! Kermit was introduced in 1955 but Willie was born in 1933.
This is pretty much what it says on the tin – writings from his time on tour.
The moment this arrives, I’ll be nose deep in it until its over.
The Chronicles of Narmo | Caitlin Moran
Yes! Late to the party once again.
I love Caitlin Moran’s writing with a giggling, sputtering, belly-laughing passion and it’s about time I did a delve into her past work.
After the days I spent tittering into the pages of How to be a Woman and Moranthology, it’s only right that I give her earlier work a try – plus I’m intrigued to see what her fiction is like!
And Terry Pratchett said it was good and she was only 16 when she wrote it.
So, there is my reading list so far.
I’m fully aware that 3 books won’t last anybody a month.
I need some inspiration! Help!
