Barry M Textured Nails| Atlantic Road #305

Last week I mentioned that I’d bagged a few Barry M pieces in the 3-for-2 offer, and I just couldn’t wait to get using this.

Atlantic Road is a beautiful canary yellow shade from Barry M’s textured range, and I knew the moment I saw it that I had to have it.
The consistency of it can best be described as “sandy”, but it doesn’t feel as heavy or gritty as other textured polish brands I’ve used in the past.

In general, I dislike textured effect nails as I’m always tempted to pick at them, but this one is quite finely textured in comparison with others, which eliminates the urge for me.
In fact, I found myself stroking my nails through the week, quite enjoying the sensation.

Like the vast majority of Barry M polishes, the coverage on Atlantic Road is really good.
Its common for light polishes to need 3 or 4 coats, but this looked completely opaque with just 2 coats, and despite the texture, it didn’t feel too built up.

The only downside of this product, in my opinion, is that its a nightmare to remove, however this is also typical of textured polish.
I also chipped mine after about 3 days, and I’m the type of person who just touches up the damaged area – you can’t really get away with this with a light textured effect polish as inevitably the colour changes, and the new patch always looks really conspicuous.

The verdict?  Love it!
Not only does it tick all my style boxes – a chirpy summer shade with an easy application and lovely finish – but it’s also cruelty free, like all Barry M products.
And retailing at just £3.99 as part of the 3-for-2 I’d say its definitely money well spent!
