Travel | Revisiting France.

Since it was my Dad’s birthday on Wednesday and we were finally able to tell him about his Birthday gift(s), I can finally start to post about a trip we’ll be taking in the next few weeks.

When we were younger we’d visit France every year as part of various amazing road trips, taking us up into the Swiss alps, or down around the tranquil Italian lakes, and countless postcard destinations in between.
We haven’t road tripped in Europe for about 10 years now, but we all share fond memories of those years – so we decided that 2014 was the perfect year to revisit.
We’ll be travelling to the Royal Champagne countryside, and visiting several WWI memorials such as Arras and Vimy Ridge, among others.
This is somewhere we’ve stayed many times, but I still can’t wait to go back!

So, here is just a taster (more for me than anyone else).

champagneWindmill in Verzenay, Montagne de Reims.

wywh2La Rue into Basecamp

wywhThe poolside, because you have to relax somewhere.

wywh3Lush countryside walkways, rustic jutes.

wywh4Beach Pool, if you’re feeling tropical.

wywh 5Charlmont Fort, Givet.

I can’t wait to say Bon Voyage!
