With the nights drawing in, everything getting colder and Christmas on everyone’s radar, most people’s thoughts are turning to wanting to give (and receive). I’m happy to admit I’m the sort of person who sets out to shop for gifts then comes home with a new leather jacket, trousers, boots and a bag full of cosmetics. This year, though, I’ve vowed to be different (although I did buy a new coat).
In the name of making it easier not to shop for myself, I thought I’d share a Winter Wishlist of all the things tempting my “checkout” finger lately. You can see the full roundup on my Polyvore page here. You never know, if you have to shop for a vegan, cruelty-free, quirky-jewellery loving, alternative style advocate who likes to read kids books and eat from cute lunchboxes… this might give you some inspiration for someone on your nice list!
L-R: Salt & Peppermint Bark Shower Scrub, Lush. | The Fox and the Star book, Waterstones.| Jolibento Bento Box, Amazon (available in several styles). | Aubergine Clogs, Lotta From Stockholm. | “Death and Decay” and “Smell of Freedom” perfumes, Gorilla at Lush. | La Luna Moon Necklace, Tatty Devine. | Sheffield Rose Gold Watch, Daniel Wellington (Cheaper available). | Malone vegan leather handbag, Matt and Nat.
I’ve had my eye on some Lotta clogs for ages but I just can’t justify spending £50+ on shoes, so I’ve constantly got my eye on eBay for some great deals. Similarly with Daniel Wellington watches – I’ve had my eye on the Sheffield watch for some time but I’m the sort of person who gets into the bath/pool with a watch still on. Perhaps I’ll treat myself in the January sales.
For those of you who know me well, the La Luna Moon necklace appeals to my love of Space. I also saw Becky of Mrs Bebe Blog sporting one ages ago and fell. in. love.
The Fox and the Star is nominated for the Waterstones Book of the Year award and I’ve been itching to read it for a while – stories of simple values always move me tremendously, so I’m looking forward to getting into this whenever I get around to buying it.
As always on my wish list there is the compulsory dose of Lush products. I’ve been keen on trying out Gorilla perfumes for ages now, the names sound really interesting but also… I’m really struggling to find cruelty free fragrances that are definitely not tested on animals. I know I can trust Lush, though. The Salt & Peppermint Bark shower scrub sort of speaks for itself, I’d say. Ten bars, please!
Have you got your eye on anything this winter? What’s on your Christmas list?
